The DOC Industry Day returns to DOCfeed at Friday February the 14th with the central theme ‘Talent’. This year at a new location: LAB-1 in Eindhoven.

The DOC Industry Day 2020 will focus on (young) film making talent, the necessity of talent development programs, the latest trends in the documentary industry and the various talent development programs the Netherlands has to offer.

“During the DOC Industry Day, we give the stage to several talent development programs such as VPRO Dorst, IDFAcademy and Teledoc Campus to inspire and encourage new talent. We will philosophize about what the future can bring for young film makers. The day offers an excellent opportunity to meet other film makers and producers in an informal way. ”

Deel één van ‘Talentontwikkeling in Nederland’. Cinema 5 van Lab-1 staat in de middag in het teken van de verschillende talentontwikkelingstrajecten die Nederland te bieden heeft. Waar kan je als talent terecht? Wat hebben de meer gevestigde makers aan deze trajecten gehad? De trajecten krijgen een podium om zichzelf te presenteren.

Get in touch with the attending professionals! Where can you go as a young audio visual talent? In six rounds of ten minutes, filmmakers get to meet the experts in one-on-one conversations (Dutch or English is both possible). Ask all your burning questions and pitch your project. (Cinema 5) Documentary
“In the afternoon we’ll show the film ‘Drømmeland’ by Joost van der Wiel. The film is about the 60-year-old Nils who has turned his back on society and has taken his refuge in a small wooden cabin in the mountains of Norway. Despite his attempt to distance himself from the world, Nils brought his cell phone and is confronted with his urge to have contact with others. Director Joost van der Wiel is participating in the Talent Talks in the morning.”
